Hall Neighborhood House

Hall Neighborhood House opened the first child care center in Bridgeport more than thirty-five years ago. We began serving twenty children. Today, Hall serves over 350 children in its child care programs at its two locations, 52 George E. Pipkin's Way and 500 State Street.

In 1995, we adopted the Montessori Early Childhood Philosophy. Montessori gives children a chance to choose activities on their own. The Montessori philosophy says children learn best through plan and practical experiences.

Child Development Goals

  • Provide a warm, caring place that supports the growth of the "whole child."

  • Provide a place that supports children to develop a healthy personality and confidence.

  • Provide a place that supports children to develop their ability and interests at their own speed.

  • Provide a safe and secure place where children can explore and try out a range of experiences in a helpful setting.

Aside from our basic Head Start / Daycare programs, we offer a Performing Arts program, Youth Services, Senior Support and much more.
