Kenyon Adams - Artistic Director
Kenyon Adams received his BFA from Southern Methodist University, Meadows School of the Arts. Mr. Adams has performed and collaborated internationally as a musician, singer-songwriter, and theater artist at venues including the Kennedy Center (D.C.) and the Edinburgh Festival, Scotland. A recipient of the Greer Garson Foundation Award for Acting (2001) and a 1997 Presidential Scholar in the Arts, Kenyon has also worked extensively in Arts Education. In New Haven, Kenyon served urban youth programs as Associate Director of Open End Theater, an issue-based teen theater, and Educational Program Director for Shakespeare's World at the Yale Center for British Art. Kenyon helped to create Long Wharf Theater's production of Black Nativity in which he composed original music and performed the lead role. He has appeared on various recordings as a vocalist and writer including his own debut album, "Songs for the Road" (2002). Kenyon's many theater credits include Inside Broadway's recent production of Cinderella (NYC), Elm Shakespeare's Richard III, Bloodknot (Best Actor, FL Theater Conference) and Obie Award Director Melia Bensussen's production of Ah! Wilderness!
James Moss - Music Teacher James Moss is not stranger to Hall Neighborhood House as he has used his artistic talents in support of the Agency for many years. As an employee James brings over twenty-five years of experience as a musician and teacher to the Agency. He has performed professionally with legendary artists such as Kool & The Gang, Clark Terry, Chet Baker, Slyde Hampton, Message to the World Ensemble and others. James has taught African drumming throughout the northeast at various schools and universities. He is a trainer for the Music and Arts Center for Humanity (MACH) and teaches music and drums in the Bridgeport Public Schools. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Bridgeport.
Jennifer Wiesner – Choreographer/ Dance
Instructor
Jennifer Weisner is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Ms. Weiner began her ballet studies at the age 6, then studied
extensively for 12 years and at the age of 18 received her
B.A. in Arts/Dance from the National Institute of Dance
in Ecuador. She became the principal soloist of the Russian
Dance Company in Guayaquil, Ecuador where she participated
in the classical ballets: The Nutcracker, The Bayadere,
Coppelia, and Celebration of the Dance. She was also an
instructor for the Russian Dance Academy. Ms. Weisner came
to this country in 1993 to continue her studies in other
types of dance. Contemporary dance caught her attention
and has informed her current work. She studied at the Encore
Dance Studio in New Jersey. Ms. Weisner has taught at The
Teen Den Program (a community dance program for teenagers)
at The Stamford Ballet School in Stamford, CT. She has also
taught in numerous after school programs, and now has her
own dance school in Stamford called Jennifer Wiesner Dance
School. She has also performed in the off – Broadway musical
“ The Death of Angel” in New York.
